Huawei has launched the Matepad T series children’s edition in the Kenyan market, available from Ksh. 25,999

Huawei Mobile Kenya has introduced its newest tablet on the market, the Huawei MatePad T series, children’s edition. The tablet is designed with child safety in mind. It comes with a child’s case and pencil and will be available to retail at Ksh. 25,999 in Huawei Experience Stores, Textbook Center and Anisuma Retail Stores in Nairobi and Mombasa.

This 9.7 inch tablet comes in an anti-shock case made of food-grade silicone and is perfectly adapted to small children’s hands and their daily activities. Its simple, versatile design allows kids to easily carry the tablet themselves using the handle that doubles as a stand for easy viewing.

The tablet’s Azoomee feature offers a diverse selection of inspirational shows, character-led stories, spectacular science, hands-on DIY and action-packed games. This helps children to create, learn and grow freely and safely.

For kids who love to read and immerse themselves in their imaginations, this tablet features an eBook mode for a happy reading experience, while posture alerts help them sit up straight, so their health and eyesight are always protected. The blue light filter and the warning about rough roads ensure even more attention for the little eyes in the most diverse lighting conditions and environments.

For child safety, Huawei Matepad T Series Kids Edition tablet offers a lot of help, just like a caring parent. The secure charge lock prevents children from accessing the tablet while it’s charging, so you can rest assured they’re always protected from the dangers of electricity.

At the launch event, Jim Zhujie, Country Head of Huawei Mobile Kenya said, “As younger users use electronic devices like tablets for everything from learning to having fun, there are growing concerns about the negative impact that smart gadgets would have. Stricter parents may try to discourage their children from using electronic devices, while others allow them to play a tablet or similar on a regular basis, like every day after school or every weekend.”
